Meeting Notes The October Board Meeting was called to order at 7:06am on October 7, 2009 by Club President Kim Jennison. Board members present: Kim, Dave, Carolyn, Gerry, Sue, and Laura M. Other club members present: Dan, Norm, Frank, and Molly. Information was received from the District Office about the upcoming Fall Conference. The minutes of the September Board Meeting were read and approved. The Treasurer's Report showed the following balances in club accounts- Administrative: $1671.18, Service: $7209.75, CD (Restricted Funds) $7861.04, and Conferences/Conventions: $765.95. President Kim presented the Administrative and Service Budgets for 2009-2010 and went over the expense and income projections. The Board approved both budgets with no changes. Carolyn passed around dues billings for 2009-2010. Committee reports were given for Community Service, Fundraising, Service Leadership, Club Meetings, Membership, Public Relations, and Youth Service. Under New Business, the Board approved the following expenditures:
Gerry got a chance at the 50/50 Jackpot and picked the five of spades. The jackpot of $99 rolls over to the next meeting. The meeting concluded with a round of Happy/Crappy Dollars and was adjourned at 8:10am. Next Week's MeetingWe will be having a regular club meeting at 7:00am at the Community Campus. If haven't been to a meeting in a while, please make an effort to attend! District Fall Conference The New England District of Kiwanis will be holding its Fall Conference the weekend of November 20-22 at the North Conway Grand Hotel in North Conway. October Meeting Schedule Oct. 14th: Club Meeting at the Community Campus 7:00am Oct. 21st: Club Social Meeting at The Common Man 6:00pm Oct. 28th: Club Meeting at The Community Campus 7:00am Guest Speaker- Commander Paul Dinius of the USS Helena Whittemore Center Concessions We had our first night working the concession stand at the Whittemore Center in Durham last Saturday for the UNH vs. Acadia hockey game. Kim, Carolyn, Frank, Laura M., John B., and Molly worked that evening. We have three other dates to work the concession stand this month:

Salvation Army Soup Kitchen We will next be volunteering at the Salvation Army Soup Kitchen in Portsmouth on Saturday- October 24th from 4:00-6:00pm. Sign up to work at next week's club meeting. International Convention
