Board Meeting Notes

The November Board Meeting was called to order at 7:10am by Club President Kim Jennison on November 4, 2009. Board members present were: Kim, Carolyn, Gerry, Dave, Ed, and Brian. Other members present were Norm and Glen, and potential member Patty.

Correspondence included information from International about the"1,2,3 You Hold The Key" program to encourage member recruiting and e-mails concerning upcoming Kiwanis webinars.

The minutes of the October Board Meeting were read and approved.

The Treasurer reported the following balances in club accounts: Administrative $1936.18, Service $7324.30, CD (restricted funds) $7915.49, and Conferences/Conventions $765.95.

Committee reports were given for Community Service, Fundraising, Club meetings, Membership, Public Relations, and Youth Service.

Under new business:

Dave inquired about the possibility of buying new lights for the tree at John Paul Jones Park in Kittery. Glen volunteered to work with Dave to check out the existing lights.

Dave and Gerry started a discussion about taking on a new project with the holidays coming up and there being more people in need. President Kim suggested members look in their communities to see what needs there may be and we will revisit this at the December Board Meeting.

Patty won a chance at the 50/50 Jackpot and picked the four of clubs. The jackpot of $111 rolls over to the next meeting.

The meeting concluded with a round of Happy Dollars and was adjourned at 8:02am.

International Convention

If you are thinking about attending the Kiwanis International Convention in Las Vegas in June 2010, registration is now available online. The early bird convention registration fee of $195 is available until January 31st.
