Club Meeting Notes

The December 16th Club Meeting was called to order at 7:05am by Club President Kim Jennison. Members present were: Kim, Carolyn, Gerry, Sally, Dan, Laura D, Pastor Dave, Brian, Jon, Gordon, Glen, Molly and Frank.

President Kim passed around a draft copy of the new club directory for members to proof their information.

President Kim formally inducted our two newest members- Dave Nolan and Jon Millett.

President Kim reported on the holiday parades and showed off our awards- the Mayor's Award from the 2008 Portsmouth Parade and the 1st Place Award for the 2009 Portsmouth Parade for Community Entry.

Reports were given on the Salvation Army Bellringing at the Kittery Trading Post on December 12th. Gordon said we collected around $470 for the day.

Frank will be delivering turkeys and a club donation to the Salvation Army this morning for their Holiday Food baskets. Club members also contributed some money for Frank to buy some additional turkeys.

Sally reported on the items that club members had purchased for two needy families for Christmas.

President Kim reminded members who are thinking about attending the International Convention in Las Vegas in June to take advantage of the early bird registration of $195 before January 31st. After that date, the registration increases to $250.

Frank got a  chance at the 50/50 jackpot and picked the jack of clubs. The jackpot of $143 rolls over to next week's meeting.

The meeting concluded with a round of Happy Dollars and was adjourned at 7:48am.
