| Club Meeting
Notes
The March 26th Club meeting was called to order by Club President Kim Jennison at 7:10am. President Kim introduced our guest speaker Heidi Duncanson from the Children's Museum of Portsmouth. Norm gave an update on the Pease Greeters Program. There is a flight arriving from overseas on Thursday at 11:25pm and there is a flight heading overseas on Monday at 10:15am. Frank reported on the Salvation Army Soup Kitchen on March 22nd. Frank, Norm, Kim, and Molly worked that evening. It was the typical Saturday night meal- franks and beans. President Kim went over the list of upcoming projects and activities. Norm brought up the NH Public TV Auction which will be taking place in May. He suggested the club volunteer on Monday-May 5th for the 8pm-Midnight shift as this was when the Dover Club was planning to be there too. Dan got a chance at the 50/50 Jackpot and picked the nine of hearts to win $6. The jackpot of $44 rolls over to next weeks meeting. Our guest speaker- Heidi Duncanson (Director of Marketing & Community Relations for the Children's Museum of Portsmouth) spoke about the museum's upcoming move from Portsmouth to Dover. The meeting concluded with a round of Happy Dollars. The meeting was adjourned at 8:05am |
April Meeting Schedule
Wednesday- April 2: Board Meeting at 7AM at the Community Campus Wednesday- April 9: Club Meeting at 7AM at the Community Campus Wednesday- April 16: Club Social Meeting at 6PM (location TBD) Wednesday- April 23: Club Meeting at 7AM at the Community Campus Wednesday- April 30: Club Meeting at 7AM at the Community Campus NH Special Olympics We will again be working at the NH Special Olympics Basketball Tournament in Portsmouth on April 11, 12, and 13. We will be in charge of the Saturday lunch, Sunday breakfast, and Sunday lunch. Club members will be needed at Portsmouth High School on Friday- April 11th from 6:00-8:00pm to help make approximately 2000 sandwiches for the bag lunches, on Saturday- April 12th from 10am-1pm to help deliver lunches to the various game venues and to distribute lunches at the high school, and on Sunday- April 13th from 7:00-10:00am to help serve breakfast and distribute lunches at the high school. Please sign up to work one of the time shifts at the next Club Meeting! Salvation Army Soup Kitchen The next date we will be volunteering at the Salvation Army Soup Kitchen in Portsmouth will be Saturday- April 26th from 4:00-6:00pm.
