Alwin Reissfelder Scholarship Award

Alwin Reissfelder was a 48 year member of  the Portsmouth and Seacoast Kiwanis Clubs and passed away at the age of 93 in 2003. In memory of his tremendous contributions to Kiwanis, a $500 scholarship was created in his name to be given annually to a graduating high school senior or current college student  who had performed exemplary community service during their high school years.

Hampton Roads Scholarship Award

Hampton Roads was the 2nd President of the Seacoast Kiwanis Club in 1986-87 and died in February 2006. A scholarship was set up in his name to be given out annually as a remembrance of his contributions to Kiwanis and the community.

Joann Susan Engleman Scholarship Award

The Joann Susan Engleman Scholarship was established by the Kiwanis Club of The Seacoast in 1995. The scholarship was established in memory of Joann Susan Engleman, a member of the Kiwanis Club of The Seacoast, who was tragically killed in an automobile accident in December 1994. The initial funding of the scholarship came from a donation from Joann's parents. Since then, the Kiwanis Club has continued to fund the scholarship through its fundraising efforts.
2007 Scholarship Award

In 2007, we recognized one high school senior with a scholarship award of $500. The recipient was Kristin Crossland from Winnacunnett High School.
 

2006 Scholarship Award

In 2006, we recognized one high school senior with a scholarship award of $500. The recipient was Caitlin Bush from Dover High School.

2005 Scholarship Awards

In 2005, we recognized three high school seniors with scholarship awards totaling $1500. The recipients were:

Tonya Veilleux (Traip Academy), Jessica Collins (Traip Academy), and Megan Wyand (Oyster River High School)

2004 Scholarship Awards

In 2004, we recognized four high school seniors with scholarship awards totaling $2000. The recipients were:

Jennifer Balentine (York High School), Katherine Hendrickson (Traip Academy), Eric Stevenson (Berwick Academy), and Kristen Couture (Somersworth High School)

2003 Scholarship Awards

In 2003, we recognized four high school seniors with scholarship awards totaling $2000. The recipients were:

Derek Archila (Newmarket High School), Gina Randall (St. Thomas Aquinas High School), Nicole Molina (Traip Academy), and Christina Bateman (Traip Academy).

2002 Scholarship Awards

In 2002, we recognized five high school seniors and one local college student with scholarship awards totaling $3000. The recipients were:

Tory Soper (Dover High School), Laura Foley (St Thomas Aquinas High School), Kathleen O'Connor (Traip Academy), Kirsten Eldridge (Somersworth High School), Kari Fitch (Dover High School) and Shawn Nord (Exeter,NH- Landmark College).

2001 Scholarship Awards

In 2001, we recognized four local high school seniors with scholarship awards totaling $2500. The recipients were:

Steven Connelly (Portsmouth High School), Elissa Valentine (Portsmouth High School), Jason Rafferty (St Thomas Aquinas High School), and Lindsey Archila (Newmarket High School).

2000 Scholarship Awards

In 2000, we recognized four local high school seniors with scholarship awards totaling $2500. The recipients were:

Lauren Kane (St Thomas Aquinas High School), David Rothwell (York High School), Adrienne Emery (Marshwood High School), and Katie Clark (Marshwood High School).

1999 Scholarship Awards

In 1999, we awarded scholarships to four local high school seniors and one local college student that totaled $2500. The recipients were:

Ryan Lawrence (Winnacunnett High School), Stephanie Philp (Portsmouth High School), Nicole Garneau (Marshwood High School), Kelly Moore (York High School) and Renata Ebert (graduate of Winnacunnett High School).
 

1998 Scholarship Awards

In 1998, scholarship awards totaling $3000 were given to four local high school seniors and one local college student. The recipients were:

Renata Ebert (Winnacunnett High School), Brendan McEneany (St Thomas Aquinas High School),
Kyle McEneany (St Thomas Aquinas High School), Seth Harmon (Marshwood High School), and
Jeffrey Carter (graduate of Traip Academy).
